Prysmian FP200 Gold is a 'standard' fire resistant cable as defined by fire alarm and emergency lighting British Standards and the original alternative to mineral insulated cable. It is a tough, durable and dressable fire resistant cable - easy to install and terminate.
FP200 Gold meets the 'standard' fire resistant cable requirements of BS5839-1 and BS5266-1 and classified as Category 1 Control cable as defined by BS8519.
FP200 Gold has excellent data and signal transmission characteristics which makes it ideal for voice alarm, addressable and networked systems.
The original highly durable and dressable, easy to terminate and install fire resistant cable, using the unique InsuditeTM damage resistant insulation system. Approved for fire detection and fire alarm critical signal paths to BS5839-1:2002+A2:2008 and voice alarm systems to BS5839-8:2008 in ‘standard’ application areas, and emergency lighting systems to BS5266-1:2011.
The changes to cable test methods and requirements first introduced by BS5839-1:2002 PH30, PH60 and PH120 mean fire resistant cables are now approved to new test requirements.
FP200 Approvals
In addition to approvals to BS7629-1 and BS6387 Category CWZ, FP200 Gold® has received BASEC and LPCB approval to BS5839-1:2002 for ‘standard’ applications. This includes approval to BS EN 50200 Class PH30, PH60 and PH120 and the integrated fire, shock and water test BS EN 50200 Annex E for 30 minutes.
All Prysmian FP200Gold® cables are manufactured in the UK under an ISO 9001 Quality System certified by BASEC and LPCB.
FP200 Gold® meets the requirements of IS EN 50200:2006 PH120 classification as required by IS 3217:2008, and also the requirements of IS EN 50200 Annex E.2 for 30 minutes Standard classification as required by IS 3218:2009/ AC:2010.
Data Capability
FP200 Gold® has excellent data/signal transmission characteristics making it ideal for voice alarm, addressable and networked systems.
FP200 Gold Installation
In accordance with BS5839-1 and BS5266-1 requirements, cables must be supported by a fixing that can withstand the same fire conditions as the cable. To meet this requirement the use of Prysmian AP LSOH® coated metal P-clips or the new FP FirefixTM rapid fixing system is recommended.
FP200 Gold® should be installed in accordance with BS7671/IET Wiring Regulations and/or other appropriate regulations or codes. For outdoor installation use white sheathed cable, red sheath requires additional suitable UV protection. Ideal for surface, tray, direct burial in plaster or other methods that benefit from a dressable product
