CSE Drives manager, Pat Davey was one of the first to see the new HVAC Drive from ABB the ACH580 on his recent factory trip to Helsinki.
The ACH580 Drive is being released in the new year to replace the very well specified ACH550 which has served the industry for some 10 years.
The ACH550 is expected to be available until 2018.
It is part of ABB`s investment to be the leader in this competitive and important market.
Pat said some of the improvements on the new drive consisted of a completely new designed key-pad, with built in energy calculators displaying used and saved energy. Drive protection to IP21/IP55, and will be suitable for SynRM and PM motors.
